I's One Year Session ~ Oregon City Baby Photographer

This little darling was such a cutie! Her mamma is a returning client who came to me to get all five of her kid's portraits taken last summer.

That's her in the middle, all sober-like:

It was much too cold to take her pictures outdoors this time, so we set up this backdrop in her mamma's dining room. Gorgeous wood flooring + a simple backdrop + a large, bright window + a reflector = perfect indoor portraits! It's so simple for me to come to a client's home and set up an area like this for an in-home session. It's much easier and convenient for clients with babies or newborns for me to come to them, rather than making them pack up all their things and drive somewhere else.

This little cutie was such a character with so many smiles - it's not every day I get a one-year-old who is as happy or cooperative as she was!

Playing peek-a-boo was her favorite:

W&A Portrait Session ~ Oregon City Children's Photographer

Sometimes a mom has a vision; Her children - brother and sister - holding hands, walking next to train tracks.

I had the privilege to make that happen for this photo session:

I love making my client's visions come to life through my photography. Creating exactly what they have envisioned in their head is my passion. We went to the Oregon City Train Station for this session, and the kids had so much fun playing around at the station.

H Siblings Portraits - Oregon City Child Photographer

I absolutely LOVE being the photographer for families, siblings and children. Siblings are so much fun to photograph - especially young ones! Their dynamic and interactions with each other is so genuine and real - especially when they get along as well as these two! I have so much fun working with kids, getting to know their little personalities, and capturing it forever in photographs.

These two were so much fun to work with! They were a dream to work with; they hugged, whispered funny things in the other's ear, and made funny faces at each other behind the camera to make one another laugh. They had such a great time running, and chasing each other through a gorgeous daisy filled field at this breathtaking location in Canby.

Can you feel the sibling love?

Mouser Family ~ Oregon City Family Photographer

We had a great session with a lovely family this evening. Their girls were so adorable and they were all so sweet. The little ones were such good sports for how cold it was and we were able to capture some really amazing shots before the sun went down.

Duncan Girls ~ Oregon City Child Photographer

We had a very fun and lively session with these three little lovelies! These girls were so fun and playful,    and had so much fun running around the park and rolling down the big hill. Mommy even got to join them for a couple shots with her girls.

William's 2 Year Portraits ~ Oregon City Child Photographer

We had Mr. W for a sports themed two-year-old session. We were able to find a park with a great baseball diamond to start out on. He likes everything from baseball to golf, and he even brought his own toys to play with during the shoot. Sometimes with kids this age, it's best to give them toys or props to play with. This is a good way to make sure they don't get bored and cranky - which is really a given when it comes to young kids. And two hours of taking pictures - especially posed, smiley ones - can be a lot to handle for a two-year-old.

So I just let him play. And play he did! He hit lots of home runs and RAN around the baseball diamond, even skidding into home! Then he wanted to golf. We watched and laughed as he hocky-slap-shot the golfball al over the hills of the park. I just stood back, and let him do his thing. It was adorable. Some of my favorite shots from the day are of him not looking at me, or running around, doing exactly what makes him happy - and what he does best!

Enjoy!

Baby A's 1 Year Portraits - Oregon City Baby Photographer

We had a returning client who is turning one! One-year-olds are so fun to photograph. They are really starting to get their own personalities and they're usually pretty happy. And who can be sad when there's cake and balloons all around! Baby A's mommy brought an adorable cupcake stand and pink balloons to celebrate. By the end of the cake smash, I'm pretty sure we ALL got cake or frosting on us somehow or another.

Here's some sweet captures from Baby A's one-year session:

The Porter Family ~ Oregon City Family Photographer

I had the great opportunity to shoot my best friend and her family today, and the location was gorgeous! The setting took place at her aunt's lovely property. A lush green lawn, fields with white fences inclosing them, birch trees with yellowing leaves, and a splendid old red barn made for a relaxed and country-esque atmosphere during this session. And the morning could not have been more beautiful! We were able to use the warm morning light and air before it got too hot. Luckily the session ended around noon, right as the temperature was around 85, - and still climbing - unseasonable heat for September. But nonetheless, the warm morning glow turned out some really beautiful pictures of this lovely family.

Here are some beautiful shots from the day:

Their son also just had his 1 year birthday so we did a 1-year session as well. And what 1-year-old sesh wouldn't be complete without a cake smash? Here's some shots of the birthday boy:
